IACAT Vice President Election

IACAT members will be able to vote for our next Vice President of the Board.  The Vice President will become President and then Past President of the Board.  This is an important leadership position for IACAT and how our bi-annual conferences continue.

We would like members to vote for one of the nominated candidates.  They are:

Deadline for IACAT 2015 Proposals has been extended!

The 2015 IACAT conference is scheduled for 13-15 September in Cambridge, UK, hosted by the Psychometrics Centre and the University of Cambridge.  The window for submitting proposals was recently extended to July 31.  To submit a proposal, or for more information on the process, please visit http://iacat.org/node/add/2015-conference-session-proposal

Nominations for Vice President IACAT

The IACAT board would like to receive nominations for Vice President. The Vice President becomes President and then Past President, each for a two year period.  Nominations should be sent to cliff.donath@philips.com

You may nominate yourself or other persons interested and knowledgeable in adaptive testing.  Please send a biography for the person being nominated.  The membership will vote once we have the nominations (due by July 30, 2015).

IACAT 2015 Conference- accepting presentation submissions

IACAT is pleased to announce that we will now accept presentation proposal submissions for our conference being held at Cambridge University, England.

Presentations will be reviewed by our senior research team to make selections for the conference.  We expect to announce acceptance sometime in late July.

Latest Article Published in the Journal of Computerized Adaptive Testing

The volume 2 Number 3 issue of JCAT was published at the end of Octpber 2014,  The article is titled Detecting Item Preknowledge in Computerized Adaptive Testing Using Information Theory and Combinatorial Optimization and was written by Dmitry Belov of the Law School Admission Council. 2014 IACAT Election Results

The IACAT Board is pleased to announce the results of the Election held in June 2014.  The new Secretary is Duanli Yan from Educational Testing Service (ETS).  The North America representative is Alan Mead from Illinois Institute of Technology.  Congratulations to Duanli and Alan!
