Abstract | Summarizes the main requirements and applications of computerized adaptive testing (CAT) with emphasis on the differences between CAT and conventional computerized tests. Psychometric properties of estimations based on CAT, item selection strategies, and implementation software are described. Results of CAT studies in Spanish-speaking samples are described.
